BRIAN DROSDOVECH – 30 YEARS AT IMMAC AND GOING STRONG

You may know Brian Drosdovech as Mr. D and the face behind Counsellor's Corner in the weekly newsletter but did you know that he's been part of the Immaculata community for 30 years!!! Here's a little more about him you may not know:

Hometown: Prince George

Current Role: Counsellor, Grad Coordinator, Socials & PE teacher, Coach

Proudest Accomplishments at Immac:

   1) Starting the athletic program

   2) Starting the first Mexico Mission trip to Tijuana with Walter Lever.

Most Enjoyable Part of the Job:

Dealing with issues kids and staff have and helping find a way forward.

Goals for Immaculata Students:

Work to their potential, even when they can't see it right now in the present.

Life Lessons for our Students:

   1) Life is a journey and all of the events you encounter along the way make you the interesting
       person you become.

    2) Without stories, we have no real life.

Best Lesson Learned from a Student:

Ben Guidolm - Just show interest in each student as you never know where they are and how much your               words may help them.

What was Mr. Drosdovech like in High School:

"I was athletic and not a top level academic student. I had friends in many different cliques. Overall,
I really liked my high school years".

Spare Time Pass Times:

"Hangout with my wife, who is my best friend. We hike, snowshoe and enjoy our dog Lacey."

Most Important People:

Wife Moira, Parents Walter & Blanche, Sister Dianne, Kids - Kyle, Justine and niece Emily. All three are
   Immac grads!!

If Mr. Drodovech "Dros" had $1 million:
He would give lots of it to the animal shelters in Loreto, Mexico - where we'll find him in his retirement,
   eating vegan Ultimate Burgers.
